Intro (Who Are You?):

Who am I.pdf

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

I was born in a downtown building

All the people knew I came

They said "Awe what a pretty baby she is

I hope she brings you pride and joy"

I grew up by the lakes in town

And the parks along the way

I remember tearing up the town

And giving everybody some crazy pain

Chorus:

Well, who am I? (Who am I? Who, who, who, who?)

Don’t you wanna know (Who am I? Who, who, who, who?)

Tellin you, who I am? (Who I am? Who, who, who, who?)

'Cause you really wanna know (Who am I? Who, who, who, who?)

I drove my car right out of town

Down to USF to stay

I felt like a free bird that sings

With nothing in the world to lose

I got up and I looked around

I looked back on my busy day

Many hours in the Classrooms

God, there's got to be another way

Who am I?

Ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ooh wa ...

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

Who am I?

Who, who, who, who?

(chorus)

I know there's a place in town

Where love falls to your feet

My life is like a broken record

I only felt right playing easy street

I skip around from place to place

Knowing everybody is a game

Measuring up to everyone some how

Is not the game I play!

License Paper:

copyright.pdf

I chose this type of copyright because I would like for people to be able to build off of my work. I also learned a lot of new writing styles from other authors. I learned that what you read plays a massive role in the way you write. All authors have their own style and also share styles with other authors. For example, if you ever had been hoodwinked or in a pickle you are quoting Shakespeare. If you can't understand what I'm saying and tell me "it's Greek to me," you are quoting Shakespeare. You see people write their own ideas but use a hint of someone else's. Famous authors, as well as professors use others writers help when they are writing a piece. I would love for people to be able to use my work to help them with their writing techniques. People building off each other is how new writers create their own writing techniques, and how they learn to become their own types of style. There are different styles of writing and we learned about a few of them in our lives. Every time you read something there are pick up on the different writing styles. You might not think that you pick up on the different styles but your writing changes slightly every time you read someone else’s work. I do not believe that using someone else’s technique or writing style is a copyright. I do however believe that you cannot copy word for word someone else’s work.

The Happenings:

the happenings.pdf

When I was looking through the web pages on the happenings the thing that sparked my interests were the origins, around the world, and contribute towards digital media. The happenings started at an art picnic of George Segal’s. The word was used to describe the art work shown at the picnic. The happenings are in part "new" media. Going through the different types of happenings I liked the one called "Soap" this is because I think it is an interesting piece of literature. It talks about how in the first morning people soil some piece of his or her own clothing. It is essential because it refers to our own real experiences as an infant. This is when the person mixes his own "water" with the water of the sea; this makes the cleansing of his clothing a very personal event. During the second morning the Happenings says that cars should be carefully smeared with jam, but you should be able to see people passing you. The washing should be done as thoroughly. If a profitable carwash is used, you should have this done as if nothing is changed or out of your normal routine. For the second evening going to the beach and finding a patch of available space is ideal. Going with people or going by yourself, either way going to the beach was good. Though there needs to be a certain amount of space that needs to be in between the couples or individual. Then the story says "In the case of couples, one person covers the partner (who is preferably naked) with jam, digs a hole for him (or her) with sand to the neck, and sits quietly watching until the tide washes the partner clean." After this bizarre way of "spending time together" they will part and go their separate ways. This story was really interesting to me. The happenings are unique art that should be shared with the world.

Writing to Explore:

"I got back and I sighed

And looked back on my busy day

24 hours down many to go

wow, this cant be college"

I got this quote from David Sterns page.

This quote i feel everyone went through

there first week of college. I know that the

people who i talked to about their first day

they didnt exspect to have such a busy

day. I think that this will be alot of work but it will be

worth is because we make friends and

relationships that will last for a long time.

Poem I wrote for the Poetry Slam:

 Freedom

we walk in to find
her sprawled on the floor
her ticket to freedom lying loosely in her hand
and her battle scars displayed across her wrists
we see her snakeskin green eyes
staring blankly at a single sheet of paper
its the only thing not marked
by her parade of suffering
the paper has her writing scrawled upon it
saying
"i sat here and cried blackend tears
for days on end
alone in my room
i reached out for help
and no one came
i drew my pain
and let the paint pour from my body
so as to create the picture
of my affliction
that no one cared to see.
i spread my paint
all along my walls
and anywhere else
that had seen my torture.
so here i am
lying in front of you
and the only thing you care about
is where to hide my broken body
where to put the picture i so carefully drew for you
that represented everything you caused me."
and so we see her
knife in hand
blood caked on her body
and flung about her room
we close her eyelids
and call the police
we say "we didnt do it"
they classify it as a suicide.
her ghost haunts my dreams
saying
"you drove me to it
you put the knife in my hand
you saw the picture i painted for you
and you still wont admit that it is your fault."
we know we put her on the edge of the cliff
and we know we helped to throw her off of it
but she will never see why we had to do it
for if we did not
she could have become someone important
someone who made a change
someone who inspired.
and if we had allowd her to do that
our utopian world would have collapsed
and we would have had to allow
freedom.

Hi Danielle! Great start on your page. My only suggestion is being mindful of how MUCH personal information you share (birthday, full name, etc.) ID thieves are everywhere. Besides, that. Great! I look forward to reading your work.
