There is no such thing as bad weather or an ugly day alone without other considerations. After the events of September 11, 2001 when I heard someone in New York comment that it was an ugly, gray, rainy day I’d think – “what, are you crazy!? It’s a DAY! And I am here tofeel the rain, and feel the wind, and experience life under these gray skies. Now I’m not perfect by any stretch of the word. We all have days where we sigh or complain. But when I was living in New York and working in the financial district, when I would be human and forget to be grateful, as I walked the streets in lower Manhattan I’d swear I’d receive inspiration from the angel voices of those that perished – live, LIVE! Today is a great day!

*For reference, the Bank of America building in St. Petersburg is 28 stories; imagine a fiery hole more than 2/3rds the size of that building.

Anyone think there could be a mix-master of sorts with varying views on related topics? Like have those people in Gainesville lost their minds (tonight’s closing argument on Nightline)? Just a thought. Hmmmm...maybe I'll have to write it. We'll see.So many things to write, so little time.

Sep 11 Freedom Celebration and Commorative. I'm not sure how I feel about this. A little uneasy, ambiguous. It seems a little unnatural: recreating a photo of first reponders. I believe people's hearts are in the right place; I only hope these 'celebrations' don't lead to future Patriot Day Sales as we now have Memorial Day Sales. I hope while enjoying the freedom to 'have fun' during the stair climbs that people do reflect on the lives lost and the reason they are there.
