Leaders exist all around us. In the classroom, at home, throughout society. This a very good topic to start out with and I'm sure it'll be a great paper :)

This is a good page. The homeless have enough to worry about. The last thing they need is a law that makes it harder for them to be homeless.

Making a difference in MY community

There's an old saying that it takes a village to raise a child. In this case, it's your turn to pay that village back. Now i'm not calling St. Pete a village (lol) but you know what I mean. I'm guessing you spent your entire high school life at Gibbs and I can see why you'd want to support it even after graduating from there. I've only been here for a short time but I know a lot about Gibbs and the stereotypes about that school (my step brother goes there - but that's not important right now). Going back to be a teacher at your Alma matar is the best support you could give your school. Before you actually become a teacher, you could volunteer at the school. Become a teacher's assistant or something. You used to be head cheerleader at Giibbs, so why not help coach the new cheer leading team. There are many different things you can get involved with, but i'm sure you already know that :) - Ronald

Dr. Connor suggested that you place a brief description next to your links to give the viewers an idea of what they links lead to. He likes your picture at the top :)

boda - They're Just Words

This is a great topic you have here. It's sad to see that people can be so insensitive to other people's feelings. Back in St. Lucia there was also an incident involving homosexuality. A young man who was openly gay was brutally beaten on a beach, tied to a tree, and left to die. His body was found the next day. I'm not sure if anyone was ever persecuted in that case. One of my friends was also taunted by his friends because they believed he was gay when he was not. Gladly this didn't lead to any form of attempted suicide, but this shouldn't be happening. I may be trying to avoid the issue, but I don't have any view on the whole gay/straight discussion. I simply believe that people have a right to do as they please and the people who live in this world have a responsibility to understand the people around them. This lack of understanding is the basis for all international conflicts: the war in Afghanistan, the land disputes in Israel, and many other conflicts. As a fellow citizen of the world, I have made it my responsibility to understand people BEFORE I  try to judge them. I believe the rest of the world needs to think like this. - Ronald

FEEDBACK- LIVING CULTURES

There are many organizations working around the world to prevent sex trafficking. But the ones who are supposed to be preventing it are being paid off by those groups to turn a blind eye to situation. Andrea mentioned the movie Taken. If you watched the movie, the father's "friend" who was was head of the French police was being paid off to ignore the problem. This doesn't only apply to sex trafficking. I can't find a link, but CNN recently wrote a story about Mexican police arresting THEIR OWN OFFICERS because they were on the kartel payroll. How can our police fight the problem when they're being paid to ignore it. Money speaks louder than words apparently. If this is the case, who is left to help all those women and children?
