*Lindsey Braun*

Life's a beach...
My name is Lindsey Braun and I am new to the "professional/technical" major because inadvertently I realized this is what I want to do for a career. With my mother being a high school English teacher, I have always been corrected with my speech, grammar and my tone of voice; that being said, I have more English/writing background than I think I wanted. I am excited for this class and the FUN adventures we will embark on along with this awesome new Wiki page that I still have no idea how I even made my own page! Now I just need to learn EVERYTHING else! :)
Growing up in Florida I have always loved the sunlight and everything that comes with the beach. So I chose this theme as a remind to just not overly think things too much, just write and let it flow. I am also looking forward to this style of writing because I have never done anything like this, it's almost intimidating to have this much free reign to actually be able to express myself any way I want!

You have a nice collection of work. I'm a bit envious of how organized your page is and am taking mental notes on how to structure my contributions.

I think your writing about race speaks from a interesting perspective. Dr. Armstrong's African American Lit class really opened my mind to a lot of issues related to racism, especially structural racism.
