Writers' Workshop: WTE intros, conclusions, interview elements, and appeals
Today (September 7th) we will work in small groups, for short durations, on specific elements of the Writing To Explore rough drafts. We will reshuffle our groups until everyone has a chance to discuss there draft with each of their peer reviewers.
Make a grid: link to the work you want us to workshop. then, sign up to feedback on 3 peer works. Please do not sign up to edit a WTE draft has 3 "followers"/peer-reviewers. This way, each of us should get plenty of feedback. Your feedback can be conversational, but it should be substantial. Absorb yourself in your peers' work, and consider: do you want to keep reading? Why? Why not? What would you do to make the draft better? Share strategies, offer suggestions, ask questions.
When coming into this assignment, I'm sure every LLS student has the goal of changing the world. I have recently learned that humanity has dug itself a deep hole, and it will take a while for a positive and compassionate change to come about. The world is very large with an unending list of problems. I know we all, as positive humans, know this is true, and we all strive for a better and more peaceful world to live in. This positive, peaceful world is not possible, at least not yet. We have to accept this, and we have to keep on trying. This change WILL NOT come about in our lifetime, maybe not even in our children's lifetime. This has become hard for me to accept, and I'm sure it is as well for all of the LLS students. So what can we do?? Start the ripple of change. Start a positive ripple that will graduate into a change to humanity. So when thinking about what we are going to put the five grand toward, think about where is the best place to start out this positive ripple. Where will this money have a stronger and more positive effect to start the ripple of our overall goal to save humanity and our home? - Sheena

Actually I understand it a little better but do you want our rough draft to be in a seperate page like Javiers, or do you want it to be in the origonal pages that Aberlyna created?

separate page like Javier's.....so your draft will have the undivided attention of your reviewers when they visit the page, and also room to grow

you do not try and make the peer review clusters relate, categorically....although we will probably have enough information to make those groupings very soon, certainly for the 2nd round of peer review on these drafts.
