List ideas you want to focus on during the display

- I want to focus on community issues because I feel this has been an important topic throughout ENC1102. Also I would like to focus on the Wiki, and what it can give to future students who take Composition.

Describe how your idea could be displayed the following genres. Our goal here is to generate as many new ideas and ways of displaying as possible and appropriate to the message you want to share with your audience)

Genre (this chart gives a few example...their are many, many more and even more possible combinations of genres/formats)		Ideas- Depending on how my Unit 4 essay (writing to convince) turns out, I plan on doing my showcase to this essay. I plan on this because I am very interested in Genetically Engineered food, and the showcase is one of the best places to bring about awareness and a writing to convince essay about genetically engineered food. Genetically engineered food was what I did my showcase on in ENC1101, but I am going to go with a different approach. I have learned a lot in ENC1102, so I wan't to reform my old essay into a way better one, with new facts, and better points. Also I will be using the Wiki as my Showcase, because I think it is a helpful tool to improve a composition, and more people need to be aware of the Wiki and how to use it.
Collage		Rather then a collage, I plan on posting a lot of pictures, and other images to visually explain my essay, as well as form it into a Wiki Page that is very catchy.
Drawing(s)		Not specifically planning on putting any drawings, unless I need to diagram something that I cannot find a picture of. I will only do this if I need to, or if I realize it will be helpful in visually explaining my essay.
Oral Presentation		I plan on orally convincing my audience about genetically engineered food being a problem. I also plan on giving brief oral presentation about the Wiki, my essay, and a reflection of the semester. I will be open to answer any questions brought to me.
Wiki		I want to use the Wiki to present my showcase because it is a helpful tool that other professors who teach composition should consider using. Many helpful writing habits can be taught on the Wiki, and so I am presenting my showcase on the Wiki.
Poster		Posters consume money, and waste paper (as well as other art supplies) so I plan on keeping my showcase on the Wiki. The most paper I will waste is for flyers, and printing out a hard copy of my essay.
Informational flyer		I plan on using an informational flyer to present visually a convincing pamphlet about genetically engineered food, and the issues that arise with it. Also a brief portion of it will be about the Wiki.
Photographs	Video	I plan on using photographs to help visually explain my topic, and create a catchy portfolio. I also plan on a video or two to try and further convince the reader.
Photographs	Graph/Diagram/ Pie chart	Using graphs will help give my essay a scholarly touch, I plan on using different statistics, and applying them to graphs/diagrams/ and pie charts.
Table of Contents		I plan on using a table of contents to organize my showcase, and make it easy for my audience to understand my topic.

How would the following design elements work for your topic?

-Using different font sizes, colors, and visuals is important to have the reader focus on what is most important. I will use the Heading 1 option, table of contents and different fonts/ colors to keep the reader interested in my showcase. Also I will use these different design elements to help organize my showcase.

What do you want people to focus on most? How can you best direct their attention to that element through design?

- I think it is most important that people focus on my improvement, and the importance of knowing what you eat. If someone can walk away from my project learning something new either about the Wiki, genetically engineered food, or composition, I will have accomplished enough for myself.

What type of media—poster board, etc—will you use, and why?

-I plan on using the Wiki, because it continues to amaze me how many different ways the Wiki can help to improve ones writing. Also the Wiki is an easy way for anyone to organize their work, whether you have technical talent or not. I almost want to advertise the Wiki and how easy it can be to the other professors in hope they will use the Wiki in their classes.
