First and foremost, happy 2 years and 5 months to my boyfriend and I!

Second, I decided to showcase my essay on sex trafficking. I have to talk to Dr. Connor about modifying it into essay form, because right now it's more fit for the internet than a paper. The sex trafficking essay, for me, was the most intriguing and I spent a lot of my time focusing on it willingly. I'm really excited to be creative and put a showboard together. That was always my favorite part in science.

I've decided that I'll just revamp my sex trafficking "essay" into something bigger and better. Also, I need to get materials for my table poster! I'm really excited, and I hope I can do this and do it well. I haven't done one of these things in years. I also think I'm going to use sex trafficking for my new rough draft, because it's a topic I firmly want to explore and know a lot about and I think I only hit the surface.

I went to the Gulf Oil Spill Forum tonight, and I'm considering doing that as the topic of Unit 4...but I honestly have no clue. I want this to be the most badass research, convincing essay I have ever written in my life, but I'm intimidated. A blank canvas, and great writers around me are hard to compete with...and I just feel like I'm not doing what I need to.

I went to read a piece Ehle wrote tonight, it was on the Joan of Arc. Follow me closely. I thought Joan of Arcadia (tv show)----> Amber Tamblyn (main actress on tv show ------> Interview (i've met and wrote on Amber Tamblyn...) ----->tv -----> Ella watching tv (my 2 year old cousin) ----> should toddlers watch tv?

BINGO. I have my topic for my Unit 4 essay! How does tv affect young children in the short and long run? What can parents do to solve the problem too much television casues?

After hearing some peer feedback in class,  I'm going to do some more research on the history of television and slip that in toward the beginning (possibly after my anecdote). Then, I would like to get some facts on how television affects a person's heart rate, brain function, and overall brain development.  Based off my findings, I will research solutions and how we can make the changes needed to commit to a healthier America.
