Reflecting back on Unit 4 portfolio, it was an exciting portfolio because I learned a lot about food, which is important and interesting to me. I turned my two previous essays into a writing to convince essay on genetically engineered food. The biggest step for me was deciding how I wanted to structure my essay. First off, I did research and pasted it on a blank page to get my thoughts rolling, and to know what I have to work with. Then I started putting what I already had into an understandable order, then I edited it. Then I added in the research and examples, with backing up statements by myself. I also combined some of the research into previously written paragraphs and broke up certain paragraphs because in parts it could get repetitive. I want to make this my best paper ever, but I am having difficulty on how to strongly convince my audience by using the facts. 

Everyone is working on a totally different part of their portfolio, some people are still doing research, some people are just starting their rough drafts, and others are close to done and just waiting for feedback. Everone that is linked on 23 November , has received some sort of helpful feedback from myself. Only about one or two people have given me any sort of feedback towards my essay, and I am really wanting some! I feel it would be more effective in class, if we all created a new page for the essay we are going over, and as ShareRiff goes along we can all edit our thoughts onto the piece to reassure that EVERYONE is receiving adequate feedback. I don't like getting complements, although it is nice of you, I like to be told where I am leaving you hanging and what I can fix. Sometimes I get tired reading my work over and over and don't catch errors. It would be really helpful if at this point in my writing process I could receive some legit feedback to help improve my essay, because I know it could still get better!
